The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 is an incredible compact camera with a great set of features and build quality that the competitors simply do not offer. I am not going to carry on about this camera as there are already plenty of websites and detailed reviews out there. I have I should mention tested both the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 and the Sony DSC-HX5V and the Panasonic is by far a superior product. Also I unfortunately didnt order mine from Amazon as they didnt offer the best price at the time. I ended up using pricegrabber and getting from Abes of Maine for $15 cheaper than Amazon with Free Shipping and No Sales Tax. I suggest to anyone thinking about making the purchase to go ahead and do so as its a quality camera that will surely make beautiful photos and videos for years to come, I was still using my five year old Lumix till the new one arrived last week. I partnered up this camera with the SanDisk Extreme 32GB card and am now ready for a vacation!

I am very happy with this camera, which I have had for a month. On a recent flight I used "aerial". The pictures are really terrific, zoomed. In time I will experiment with shutter and aperture priority as I have not done that yet. The only complaint I have is that when I grab it with my right hand and take a snapshot, my hand pushes buttons that I do not want pushed. Have to use 2 hands to avoid that problem.

I LOVE my new camera--such clear pictures and the intelligent auto is great for someone like me. Even low light has been wonderful--truly a great buy for the price! Get the extra battery and it doesnt come with a memory card so you need that too. Nice and small also so you can take it everywhere without a problem. Yeah!!!

I am used to high Quality DLSR and I needed a light-weight camera to be used in small and crowded areas (like Museums or churches) where it d be difficult to switch from Wide to Tele lenses and vise versa. I visited a couple museums in the DC area a month ago and was very satisfied with the photos the camera produced. Good color accuracy and easy to operate (maybe I am used to more complicated DLRS). Very dissapointed on the quality of the software - again, maybe because I am used to more sophisticated ones. That said, Panasonic could have used an easier to use software package with a few more tools to compliment a very good camera.
