I just decided to get this camera because my Canon Powershot was a few years old. The zoom on this camera is amazing! The only think I dont care for is that when its in "Play" mode, you cant just start taking pictures like you can on a Canon. You have to flip the switch back to "camera" mode. Other than that, I love the camera!
I bought this camera as I wanted a small, easy to use digital camera to carry in my purse. This camera is a perfect size - small, but does not feel cheap. The first time I used it was at my daughters candlelit wedding. Considering the lack of natural lighting, it did a very good job. I have been able to see pictures taken by other cameras at the same event, and mine did just as well or better. It is simple to use and I look forward to using it as my travel camera. A lot of camera for the price.
I recently purchased this camera because it received such good reviews. Havent really had a chance to use it, but the pictures I have taken thus far have been good. I also have a Kodak Easyshare with viewfinder that I have had for years and the one thing I miss about the Panasonic is not having a viewfinder. The Lumix has a fast recovery time which I like. All in all, I am very satisfied with the camera.
Ordered the camera and did not realize it did not come with a memory card. No big deal as it has 40mb of built in memory. Took it for a weekend trip to Dumont Dunes. It took 8 photos (at max resolution) and I simply loaded them on my MacBook, deleted, and took more. Great pictures, fair video (with limited memory we had to take short ones)but overall a great little camera. The "automatic mode" makes using it a snap. A great value, in my opinion
