Takes great up close pictures, it shows all the texture in an object. great flash, great zoom quality. What more can I say? WEll. the only thing not to love is that when you are taking an action shot in normal camera mode, its probably not the camera you would want to take the picture with. I was unsure of my purchase when i ordered it, but after about 3 weeks with it, theres no reason i would ever consider another camera. I use it for everything!

Actually, I already had an SD1200. I use these cameras for work. Nothing beats the usability of the Canon interface in my opinion. I have had 4 Canon cameras in the last three years - the last three have been the SD1200 and 2 SD1300s. All three of the last cameras are still working. I love how easy it goes in and out of my pocket and how fast in focuses and takes the pic when the button is pushed. It slows down quite a bit after a few dozen pics with the flash on but thats understandable - it just takes time to charge the flash.

I gave this camera to my daughter as her college grad gift. I compared with many cameras,it uses rechargeable battery, it saves a lot. The price is reasonable. She loves this camera very much. She said this is a very good one, the pictures are shape, but for some reason, the color on the screen turn to be quite yellow. Anyone knows why? And she likes the color( green) too

Excellent camera, just got back from a vacation in Italy. Great pictures in many different conditions,including near dark and low light (not using the flash). Did Great!! Hard to find an easier to use camera.

I have never liked the thought of compact cameras but I LOVE this camera! Not only does it take great still pictures and is easy to use (my two year old figures out features on it), the video feature is my fave. High quality video and as easy to do as taking a picture. Sure beats lugging around a camcorder, and you never have that when you need it anyway. Like the other comment poster, I put it in my purse and have it for those great every day shots that I would have missed. And the green color is SWEET! IS feature is great for pics of kids and one of the key reasons I got it. Canon has not disappointed on this or any other product we have gotten from them.
